Each day leading up to Christmas I’m sharing something to help you think more about your brand.
Today is about what a brand is – because if you don’t know THAT, how can you possibly think about it and make yours better?
Did you know that you have a brand even if you’re not giving it any thought at all?
That’s because your brand is what other people (not you!) think, feel, say and remember about your business.
Your brand isn’t your logo. It isn’t the shade of purple, or the photograph of you or the words you write. Yet all of these things are part of your brand – working together to give the best impression of your brand possible.
It’s about what your business means to someone else.
When someone utters the name of your business, it’s the things that immediately leap to mind to that group of people.
Do you know what people are thinking and saying about your business?
Are they all thinking the same thing? Because if they are, then you have a strong brand.
If they’re not (or if they aren’t thinking good things!) then you have work to do.

Why does this even matter?
Because when you have a strong, recognisable brand it makes running your business much easier.
Once you’ve put in the work then you know what you stand for. You don’t need to guess. You have a framework to help you make decisions and move forward – and more than that, you have an audience who get you. Who also don’t have to send guess, who understand what you’re all about and are confident to choose YOU because your brand has helped them to self-identify as the perfect customer.
They know who you are, they like what they see and hear, they feel good things about your business and so they know that your business is where they want to spend their money and where they’ll recommend others to go too.
If you’re ready to make running your business a little bit easier, these Brand Baubles are for you. This is what we’re going to work on this month.
