This quote is from a video by Rachel Smith about how to become intentional in your business:

“Success is not created by accident, success is created by intention”.

I think this applies to any success you might want to achieve – you can make things happen by creating a plan of action to get you to where you wanna be. It’s the sticking to it that’s the hard bit isn’t it?

I often say that branding is making decisions and sticking to them.

Deciding which colours to use and sticking to those specific hex codes.

Deciding which fonts to use and sticking to those specific fonts.

Deciding on a logo and using that one. Not that one and your last one and sometimes the one you thought about but didn’t pick. Just the one you have (and sub-marks of it.)

These decisions aren’t only visual. In fact, those visual decisions, they come last. After you’ve really thought about your strategy.

Because once you have your strategy nailed the rest is easy. Those next decisions are pretty much readymade.

You see when you work on your brand you will be developing a strategy which helps you to solve a problem.

So first of all you have to know what that problem is and what you want the outcome to be, so that you can fix it.

Perhaps your brand isn’t positioned correctly. You aren’t attracting the right sort of people. You aren’t serving the people you want to serve. You aren’t making the money you want to be making. You aren’t even close to fulfilling your mission because you don’t actually know what it is.. maybe you do, but you sure aren’t being intentional.

Being intentional means that you know what you stand for, you know what you want and you know what you need to do to make it happen. You have clarity. You do things with purpose. You make decisions and take action on what’s important to you.

Stick to those decisions.

You can’t do that if you don’t know what’s important to you.

But once you do know – it becomes easy.

Becoming intentional makes your success happen.

You know what to do.

The content topics to create.

The places you need to be seen.

The people you need to help you out.

The visuals you need to put together.

The offers you need to put out there.

The way you need to show up.

When you get intentional then you know you’ve got this.
