Is your business the same as it was a few years ago? I’m going to guess not, because things change don’t they? Perhaps this is good change.. perhaps it’s not so good… but either way, it could be time to uplevel. Maybe you want to make more of an impact. To be more successful. Perhaps you just have this feeling that you need to push yourself beyond your comfort zone, to get to the next level in your business. You might feel that you’re ready to DO BETTER. So how do you do that? How do you go about creating an image for your business which is more.. finished, premium, high end than it was before?

Focus.

If you don’t have a plan, you don’t have goals or you don’t even know why you’re doing then you need to get that straight first otherwise nothing will make sense. Revisit your business plan and your strategies. Spend some time working out what you need to do over the next few months to get you from where yu are to where you want to be. Do you know where you want to be? Work that out and go from there. You won’t go anywhere if you don’t know where you’re going.

Headshots.

Have some professional photographs taken. And use them. People want to see who you are, they want to know who they’re buying from, they want to feel that they have a connection with you.

Process.

Develop a process, a system – something that shows that you are highly organised and so that your clients know what to expect at each stage. I have a process – Brief, Research, Create, Develop, Deliver. It can take a while to work on your process and have it down but it’s worth it.

Demonstrate expertise.

Show that you know your stuff. Write blogs, create videos, start a podcast, speak at events.

Get some help.

Don’t do everything on your own. Get a VA, get an accountant. Pay someone to run your ads, anything you don’t like doing or that takes too much time – outsource it.

Tweak or change your brand identity.

There are a lot of things that you can do to develop your business image and create a high end image for your business. As you grow, your brand will also grow and it’ll grow up. Upleveling is often bbout stripping back, simplicitiy, finding the core elements that help create the right impression and allow people to see you as the expert. It’s not about looking expensive, it’s about showing how great you are and ensureing that comes across at every touchooint.

Be consistent.

Once you have all of these things in place stick to them. It’s really that simple – but sometimes the simple things are not that easy to do!

Denise Duffield Thomas says “The truth is that a brand is never really “finished.” It’s always going to be a work in progress.” and this is very true. Because once you’ve upleveled to the new version then you’ll find that your business will grow again and change again and you’ll need to refine everything again in the future too. It doesn’t mean that you need to a pend a fortune each time though, you could choose ONE of these things to make that difference, you don’t need or might not want to do them all. Except the last one. Consistency should be your non-negotiable.

So what are you going to do with your business to help you uplevel?
