“Are you in earnest? Then seize this very minute.
What you can do, or dream you can, begin it;
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it;
only engage and then the mind grows heated;
Begin, and then the work will be completed.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I love this. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Wow.

To me that’s saying get going, start now, don’t wait on perfection, make a move now before you forget about it. Don’t let that idea die.

I’m taking part in The Clarity Quest with Ann English – she is all about keeping your ideas alive. Not letting them be forgotten. Watch her Ted Talk, it’s worth your time and may inspire you to do something bold with your ideas!

Get started, make a bold move and your mind will have all sorts of amazing ideas! Like a seed, an idea starts as something small but with a lot of care and love it can become something as amazing as a huge oak tree. Everything big starts with something small. A spark of a thought that becomes bigger and bigger and before you know it – boom – something’s happened.

Nothing will happen if you don’t actually BEGIN though will it? That’s the key right there. BEGIN and the work will be completed.

I’ve been thinking about goals a lot lately. It’s the time of year isn’t it? Did I achieve all I hoped for this year? What do I want to make happen next year?

Think about what you want to do in your business next year.

Maybe you want to start a blog or a Podcast, or set up a mailing list, maybe you want to set a goal for the number of customers you’re going to work with or the amount of money you’re going to make, maybe you want a client in another country or you want to take your business online, perhaps you want to speak at an event or start your own networking group, set up new income streams, franchise your business or tackle a new audience. There are So. Many. Possibilities.

I always love this part when I’m running a Clarity Conversation with my clients (this is the part where we talk for a LONG time so I can create a strong brand strategy that works for them.) I love hearing their dreams. Who they’re going to impact. How they’re going to do it. What this looks like. Franchising. Memberships. The car they want to buy. The holidays they want to take their family on. The difference they’re going to make in the lives of their customers and their family. It’s such a privilege to be trusted with this knowledge – some people like to keep their dreams private whereas others are shouters. There’s no wrong way.

Dream in a notebook, on the back of an envelope, on a postcard –  it doesn’t really matter where as long as you do it – and then BEGIN.

Bold steps to build, grow or show-off your brand might be:

  • To work on your strategy.
  • To make decisions around your visuals.
  • To commit to showing up consistently in a certain way.
  • To check your touch points and make sure they’re aligned with your strategy.
  • To book in your next ten speakers or guests.
  • To identify where your ideal customers are so you can be there.
  • To gain clarity on who your ideal customer is.
  • To create a new offer which truly serves your ideal customer.
  • To update your social covers.
  • To finally get that website sorted so it looks professional and exudes YOU.
  • To create templates.
  • To re-write copy.
  • To work on your benefit statements.
  • To set a goal for how much money you want to make and what you want to sell.
  • To commit to being visible in 2023 so people know who you are and what you do.

Bob Proctor suggests that you have a Goal Card. This could be for any goal, business or life specific. Write your goal down on a card and look at it multiple times a day. It’s harder to forget that goal if you’re reading it regularly. It’s easier to get to work on it if you feel excited about it often.

Keep thinking about that thing you want and to plan your next bold steps for how it’s going to happen. Because if you don’t start.. well it won’t happen will it?

If boldness has genius, power and magic in it .. what could be possible after that first bold step?

Seize this very minute. What can you do NOW?
